HOMES Database

At Device Media we  have been replacing the HOMES database system used by many clients in North America with great success. The HOMES software platform has been slated to be discontinued as of March 31, 2011.

Device Media has been working with clients to create an updated and improved version of the HULL outcome Monitoring and Evaluation System (HOMES) database. The system we have developed is far more usable and packed with features that go beyond the original.

If you are interested in learning more about this powerful, new web-based outcome monitoring system please call 780.488.7886 for a free consultation.

History of the HOMES database

The HOMES database system is a program evaluation software package
that can be accessed through the internet using a database account. It is
specifically designed for not-for-profit and human service organizations to
simultaneously monitor case and outcome information. The outcome model
encourages human service agencies to track information before, during, and
after service delivery. It can be used at program levels, group service
delivery, and case management levels.
At a case management level HOMES is designed to monitor client needs,
strengths, specific service goals, practitioner strategies, and a wide variety of
demographic and other information. Data collection procedures are
integrated into common client service planning procedures.
At a program level, programs can create or write program logic models,
and then monitor data related to their models. These can be linked to data
collection instruments that result in aggregate information organized around
program outcome statements.
At each level of data collection, the system can put together and analyze
data to determine overall client, program or organizational success. Agencies
can also partner together to merge data files to create outcome summaries
of sector areas or provide regional analyses.
Outcome Oriented
Services related to HOMES are intended to help orient and provide the tools
to ensure agencies increase their efficiency and become outcome focused.
The HOMES system is intended to increase professionals’ accountability to
their clientele by providing timely and useful client-based outcome
information.
A critical feature of the HOMES is its ability to monitor evidence or indicators
of success toward achieving planned outcome objectives. Such information
from multiple agencies will be stored within one common database to allow
multi-agency data analyses and best practice reporting.
